Welcome! This is our site that we are building to keep users informed about our system. Thanks to the work of some dedicated hams, we now have wonderful coverage in the state of VA on 220 mhz, and we hope to continue to grow the system. We are always looking for ways to make it better, and we welcome any thoughts or suggestions. We hope to stimulate the use ofthe less popular bands to create a much larger system and promote the use of these bands. Special thanks to the following: Jaime (KA3NXN) and Megan (KD4IDU) for hosting this website; Ron (K4RKA) for doing the paperwork on the sites; Jason (KG4FJC) for keeping our duplexers tuned; Jason (N4DSL) for co-hosting and partnering in the 224.500 site; and many others who volunteer their help along the way. Thanks also to those of you who use and enjoy this system. It makes our efforts seem worthwhile. The system is available to any licensed ham 24/7. We welcome new users with open arms, so please feel free to join us. We want to be known as a friendly group of operators, and we ask that you do your best to make others feel welcome, or at least acknowledge their call. As with all amateur operations, please try to keep speech within the context of FCC regulations. While an occasional "slip-up" may occur, let's try to remember that there may be others listening, and we do not want to offend them or step outside of our amateur rules. 73 for now and don't forget to check back often for updates on our "What's New" tab. Tim-KG4HOT Please allow at least a 5 second delay every once in a few transmissions in case someone is trying to join in the conversation via Echo Link. Echo Link does not announce when some one has connected if there is a QSO going on when the connection is initiated, also it's a bit slow on the draw so the only way the Echo Link user can get in is if they get a pause between transmissions. Enjoy, Jaime-KA3NXN |
